Property Tax Bill Made Easy for Orange County Residents

house property A few weeks ago, Evelyn and I attended an event with the Orange County Treasurer: Shari Freidenrich, CPA. Shari shared four great tools created to help Orange County residents keep track and pay their property tax bills online. We thought that you might find them useful.

1. Sign up for a Property Tax reminder email for free.

The Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector office will send you a free reminder email approximately 10 days before the First and Second Installment dates. To subscribe, click HERE. You simply need to enter a valid email address, click submit, and reply with a blank email to their confirmation email.

2. Sign up for an unsecured Property Tax reminder email for personal property taxes on business property, leased equipment, boats and aircraft.

The Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector office will send you a free reminder email approximately 10 days before the August 31st deadline. To subscribe, click HERE. You simply need to enter a valid email address, click submit, and reply with a blank email to their confirmation email.

3. Different ways to pay your Property Tax bill.

You can pay you Property Tax bill online by eCheck (free), by credit card (2.3% convenience fee) or by phone using a credit card calling 714-834-3411.

4. Review or print your 7 last years of Property Tax bill online.

You can review up to 7 years of Property tax bill information on the Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector website and search by parcel number, address or tax default number. Click HERE to access the search page.

Thanks, but I like paying our property taxes using the USPS and writing a check for each payment. Thank God for Prop 13, our taxes are NOT budget breaking.
